Anacacho Orchid Tree (Bauhinia lunarioides)

The Orchid Tree is native to the Texas hill country. This photo is of one such tree growing in a large container in my back yard. The blossoms of this tree are fascinatingly large and pure white. They have a very faint pleasant scent and last only a few hours once they open.
