"Graffiti near Guadalupe and 34th in Austin, Texas"

This piece of graffiti really caught my eye when I saw it. I have a long-running fascination with this form of expression but since I can't draw, I've never thought to engage in it myself. So I photograph these hastily executed pieces of public domain art and try to share them with others.

This graffiti has been eradicated but I don't know when. It looks much larger in this photo than it actually was.

Update 03-17-04

After several months of waiting for proof to arrive, this photo has been published! It appears alongside a story about the fashion scene in Austin in Sportswear International Magazine (Mar/Apr 2004 #190 page 34.) It was so exciting to receive a package from Italy bearing the large, gorgeous magazine and to flip through it and see my art in print with proper attribution! An interesting coincidence I'd like to point out is that this piece of graffiti was photographed near the intersection of Guadalupe and 34th in Austin and the story it illustrates appears on Page 34 of the magazine.
